Creative Director — Author — Editor
Hello there.
Through a uniqe combination of bold design, engaging writing, thoughtful editing, and limitless brainstorming, I’ve spent 20 years helping entertainment brands, film studios, TV networks, and publishers reach their goals—and their audiences.
I am a creative consultant for networks, studios, publishers, and entertainment companies. I’ve also designed movie posters, comic book logos, and have written several upcoming books.
Previously I was the Deputy Editor + Creative Director at Entertainment Weekly Magazine where I booked covers, oversaw genre coverage, and developed brand strategy. I also managed both the Design and Photography departments.
I am the author and designer of the acclaimed Super Graphic book series:
• Star Wars Super Graphic:
A Visual Guide to a Galaxy Far, Far Away
• Super Graphic:
A Visual Guide to the Comic Book Universe
These 200-page, genre-straddling books go deep into comic books and the Star Wars universe in a series of fun, informative, and delightful infographics. Amazon named it the #1 Art and Design book of 2013, and the #59 best book overall that year.
I’ve also worked at Fortune, Wired, and Complex magazines where I oversaw award-winning teams, developed redesigns, launched new digital initiatives, and contributed to key business strategies.
In 2007 I launched Comic Foundry, a quarterly lifestyle magazine about comic books that was nominated for an Eisner Award for Best Comics Journalism.
